The Lux Lab is a collection of specialized Library services, including 3D printing, laser etching and cutting, as well as poster printing. In keeping with the Library's commitment to open access, the Lux Lab is aggressively pursuing additional specialized services to help students and researchers become content creators. 3D scanning services, 3D mapping with drones, and photogrammetry services are all being researched as potential offerings.

These services are currently located in Powell Library and the Charles E. Young Research Library, with plans to expand our services to the Science and Engineering Library in Boelter Hall.

Lux Lab services are open to all students, faculty, and staff. The Lux Lab program is still in its pilot phase, and as such, there is no cost to users. Although we try to honor every single request that we are given, the Library's limited resources mean that requests for services such as 3D printing and laser etching will be handled in the order they were received, with priority given to University-related projects.
